Lens-Artists Challenge #261 – Work in Progress
It has been a while since I last participated in photo challenges. Blaugust is a perfect opportunity to resurrect the habit. For this week’s theme – Work in Progress by Leya – I have chosen the National Monument of Scotland. The monument was designed by Charles Robert Cockerel and William Henry Playfair, and construction started in 1826. It was left unfinished in 1829 due to the lack of funds.
The National Monument of Scotland on top of Calton Hill in Edinburgh is a memorial to Scottish soldiers and sailors who died in the Napoleonic Wars.
